Dry Chemical Powder

Merupakan kombinasi dari fosfat Mono-amonium dan ammonium sulphate. Yang berfungsi mengganggu reaksi kimia yang terjadi pada zona pembakaran, sehingga api padam. Dry Chemical powder juga memiliki titik lebur yang rendah dan pada partikel yang sangat kering serta membengkak untuk membentuk penghalang yang hingga oksigen tidak dapat masuk sehingga dapat menutupi area kebakaran (api), akhirnya api tidak akan menyala dikarenakan pijakannya ditutupi oleh Dry Chemical powder.

  • Merupakan media pemadam api serbaguna, aman dan luas pemakaiannya karena dapat mematikan api kelas A, B, dan C.
  • Dapat menahan radiasi panas dengan kabut (serbuk) partikelnya.

Foam AFFF (Aqueous Film Forming Foam)

Foam AFFF (Aqueous Film Forming Foam) adalah berbasis air dan sering mengandung surfaktan berbasis hidrokarbon seperti sulfat sodium alkyl, fluoro surfactant seperti: fluorotelomers, asam perfluorooctanoic (PFOA), asam perfluorooctanesulfonic (PFOS). Mereka memiliki kemampuan untuk menyebar di permukaan cairan berbasis hidrokarbon. Alcohol resistant aqueous film forming foams (AR AFFF) adalah busa / foam yang tahan terhadap reaksi dari alkohol, dapat membentuk lapisan/ segmen pelindung ketika dipakai atau di semprot.

  • Dapat digunakan untuk memadamkan api kelas A namun sangat cocok bila digunakan untuk kelas B.
  • Bersifat Kondukstif (Penghantar Listrik). Tidak dapat dipakai untuk memadamkan api kelas C.
  • Foam bersifat ringan, sangat efektif untuk memadamkan zat cair yang mudah terbakar dengan cara mengisolasi oksigen serta menutupi permukaan zat cair untuk menghindari api yang dapat menjalar (meluas) kembali.

Gas Pengganti Hallon (Clean Agent) adalah senyawa kimia yaitu hydrochlorofluorocarbon (HCFC). Merupakan senyawa dari 1,1-dichloro-1-fluoroethane dan Chemical Abstracts.
