cara menggunakan alat pemadam api sangatlah mudah dan siapa saja dapat melakukannya. Hanya dengan mengikuti langkah-langkah mudah berikut:
Tanggalkan alat keselamatan dari pemadam apiTanggal, Acu, Tekan dan Sembur atau Pull, Aim, Squeeze and Sweep(PA SS).
- Pastikan alat pemadam api ditegakkan.
- Tanggalkan alat keselamatan yang dilengkapkan yaitu kunci valve (Pen).
- Acukan muncung alat (Nozle) ke pangkal api
- Acukan muncung alat pemadam api ke pangkal api.
- Pastikan anda berada pada jarak kira-kira 1 hingga 1.5 meter dari api.
- Tekan tukil atas alat pemadam.
- Tekan tukil atas alat pemadam
- Apabila api sudah dipadamkan, buka semua pintu dan buka jendela agar supaya udara segar masuk.
- Buka semua Jendela agar udara segar dapat masuk
- Gunakan cara menyapu ketika penyemburan dilakukan pada seluruhan bagian api.
- Semburkan ke arah api dengan cara menyapu (sweep)
